The University Park Grant Street Extension Project constructed the main entrance, including a new traffic signal at the Harding Way/Grant Street intersection, to the University Park redevelopment project in mid town Stockton. University Park is a 100 acre site, formerly a State hospital campus, being redeveloped by the Grupe Company as mixed use, including professional offices, retail and commercial spaces, educational facilities, and medium and high density residential uses. The high profile Grant Street Extension Project included the construction of curb, gutter, sidewalk, landscaping and irrigation, street lighting, decorative fencing, entrance kiosk and gates, paving, utility extensions, storm drainage, traffic signals and a traffic calming “roundabout”. The project design incorporated extensive use of pavers and architectural concrete. Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc. was the prime consultant on the project, and provided surveying, mapping, civil design and construction phase support services for the project. KSN coordinated the design of the project with sub-consultants CCS/TY Lin Transportation Engineering, Lesovsky-Donaldson Architects and Gamboni Landscape Architects.
