The Kensington Way Storm Drain Replacement Project for the University of the Pacific rehabilitated a substandard and deteriorating storm drain pipeline that conveys drainage from the entire University campus to the City of Stockton’s storm drainage collection system. The project improvements include 1600 lineal feet of 24 inch diameter and 900 lineal feet of 18 inch diameter storm drain pipe, maintenance manholes, drop inlets, flow metering and control manhole and miscellaneous appurtenances. Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc. provided all surveying, mapping, permitting and civil engineering for the project. The improvements were constructed within existing, improved street rights of way, requiring detailed traffic control plans and construction phasing coordination. Close coordination with utility providers was key to minimize conflicts with existing below grade facilities and to avoid the disruption of service to adjacent residences during construction.
