KSN supported the planning, design and permitting of a flood closure device for the Smith Canal in Stockton. The project includes the design of a gate closure structure at the mouth of Smith Canal adjacent to the San Joaquin River in and adjacent to the City of Stockton. The project includes H&H analyses; geotechnical and structural analysis, preparation of an EIR/EIS; an extensive public reach program, and the preparation of a financial plan. KSN’s scope of work included preparing a Conditional Letter of Map Revision for FEMA; DWR EIP grant applications, and conducting right of way acquisition for the new structure.
