KSN received notification today from the American Council of Engineering Companies, that KSN will be receiving a 2019 Engineering Excellence Honor Award for our work on the Wallace Weir Fish Rescue Facility. The 450 foot long earthen weir includes a rubber bladder flow control structure, stainless steel ‘picket fence’ fish screens and a fish rescue facility. This environmentally important, high profile project will effectively prevent Chinook Salmon, migrating up the Sacramento River to spawn, from becoming trapped in the maze of irrigation and drainage ditches, canals and channels connecting to the Yolo Bypass. The formal presentation of the award will take place at ACEC’s annual awards banquet in February. This is the third year in a row that KSN has been recognized by the American Council of Engineering Companies to receive an Engineering Excellence Honor Award.
