Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc. (KSN) was retained by BNSF Railway Company to complete the right of way documentation for the project. Construction for the grade separation was completed as part of BNSF’s Stockton Intermodal Facility, but before the City and County could sign off on the project, the right of way transfer between BNSF and the agencies needed to be completed. KSN worked with BNSF, BNSF’s legal counsel, San Joaquin County, and the City of Stockton to prepare documentation that was used to transfer the new Mariposa Road Alignment from BNSF’s possession to San Joaquin County and the City of Stockton.
KSN’s services included reviewing preliminary title reports, field surveys to locate existing boundary and right of way monumentation, creation of CADD models of the boundary and right of way conditions, comparing asbuilt conditions to the design plans, meetings and coordination with the interested parties (BNSF, San Joaquin County, and the City of Stockton), preparation of 11 right of way transfer packages, preparation of 2 abandonment packages, and preparation of the Record of Survey that documents the location of boundary and right of way monumentation along the project corridor.
