The Weber Point Events Center project is located at the head of the Stockton Channel, and serves as the focal point for Stockton’s downtown area. Surrounded by water on three sides, this site provides a unique setting for large community festivals, concerts and public events. This multi-use facility includes an outdoor amphitheatre, a children’s recreation area, an interactive fountain, historical monuments with informational plaques and a continuous pedestrian promenade along the water’s edge. Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc. (KSN) provided the civil engineering design services as a sub-consultant to the Mill Valley architectural firm of Royston, Hanamoto, Alley & Abey. KSN prepared the civil improvement plans, specifications and estimates for site grading, drainage, utilities, paving and concrete hardscape for this project. KSN also prepared the construction documents for the site’s frontage improvements along Center Street which included concrete paver sidewalks, planters and tree grates, paving and historical lighting fixtures.
